    Description

Please email with any questions. 5 3/4" by 11" bill of lading. Dated January 5th, 1859 the bill was issued by Nourse, Mason & Company, manufacturers of agricultural implements- an illustration of their tiller is printed on the bill. The bark "Col Ledyard" was carrying ten corn shellers from the port of Boston to Savannah, Georgia then carried overland by train to the hardware store of Carhart & Curd in Macon, Georgia. This original piece came from a collection of business ephemera from Carhart & Curd. There are some light fold lines, some wear along the bottom edge and some slight soiling along the top and bottom edges.
