Please email with any questions. 6 1/4" by 10 1/4" bill of lading printed on pale blue paper with a small vignette of a sailing ship. Dated January 21 1859, The bark "Exact" was carrying 1 box of merchandise and three bundles of ? out of the port of New York to Savannah, Georgia then to be carried overland by train to the hardware store of Carhart & Curd in Macon, Georgia. This original piece came from a collection of business ephemera from Carhart & Curd. There are some light fold lines and light stains on the edge.
