    Description

Please email with any questions. 6" by 10 1/4" bill of lading printed on pale blue paper with a small vignette of a sailing ship. Dated January 15th, 1859, The schooner "Jamestown" was carrying a box of axles and a box of springs from the Birmingham Iron & Steel Works out of the port of New York to Savannah, Georgia then carried overland by train to the hardware store of Carhart & Curd in Macon, Georgia. This original piece came from a collection of business ephemera from Carhart & Curd. There are some light fold lines and some faint soiling along the edges.
