Please email with any questions. 5 3/4" by 11" bill of lading printed on pale blue paper with a small vignette of a sailing ship. Dated January 4 1859, The schooner "Loyal Scranton" was carrying 1 two horse power, 1 shaft and 1 pulley out of the port of New York to Savannah, Georgia then to be carried overland by train to the hardware store of Carhart & Curd in Macon, Georgia. This original piece came from a collection of business ephemera from Carhart & Curd. There are some light fold lines and a stain on the edge.
