    Please email with any questions. 5 1/2" by 11" bill of lading printed on ecru paper with a small vignette of a sailing ship. Dated March 7, 1859, The steamer "Alabama" was carrying a box out of the port of New York to Savannah, Georgia then carried overland by train to the hardware store of Carhart & Curd in Macon, Georgia. This original piece came from a collection of business ephemera from Carhart & Curd. There are some light fold lines and some faint soiling along the edges.
