    Description

Please email with any questions. 5 1/2" by 10 1/2" bill of lading printed on white paper with a small vignette of a sailing ship. Dated March 12 1859, The steamer "Georges Creek" was carrying four pigs of tin and two plates of spelter from John W Quincy & Co out of the port of New York to Savannah, Georgia then carried overland by train to the hardware store of Carhart & Curd in Macon, Georgia. This original piece came from a collection of business ephemera from Carhart & Curd. There are some light fold lines and some faint soiling along the edges.
