    Description

Please email with any questions. 5 1/2" by 9" bill of lading printed on pale blue paper with a small vignette of a sailing ship. Dated January 7th, 1859, The steamer "Thomas Swann" was carrying one box of hardware from the port of New York to Savannah, Georgia then carried overland by train to the hardware store of Carhart & Curd in Macon, Georgia. This original piece came from a collection of business ephemera from Carhart & Curd. There are some light fold lines and some minor crinkling.
