    Description

This listing is for two 4x6 inch photos of a Great Lakes freighter pilothouse from an unknown vessel sitting in the scrapyard at Port Dover, Ontario in 1997.  The first view is an overall view of the pilothouse while the second is a closer view that shows a green shamrock logo that appears to have been painted on the side of the structure while the vessel was part of the Soo River Company.  The dates 1906-1982 that appear on the shamrock and the general shape of the pilothouse makes it likely that it is from the 1906-built steamer Pineglen (formerly named Soo River Trader, Goderich, Pathfinder, and Samuel Mather)  Photos are scanned at low resolution for Ebay listing.
