2012 John Deere 5115M – 115hp - 4WD (MFWD) - Pristine Condition & Pre-Def - RARE

If you are interested in buying a new 5-series tractor, then you should look into this rare find! This is one of the cleanest single-owner tractors available and has only 860 hours! Before we had it, it was used for a short period of time by the JD dealership just to move snow. We used it mostly for shredding with a batwing and loading sand, but we always blew off the grass after we used it to prevent paint damage.
This is my personal tractor and I don't let any of my ranch workers drive it. The tractor has been especially well-cared for. I run it once a month for a short period of time just to heat up the oil and prevent condensation. This is probably overkill because it’s always parked inside an insulated barn. I also do yearly oil changes even if we hardly use the tractor for that year. I don’t fill up the diesel tank so it always has fresh diesel. The zerks are also greased every 20-25 hours (every 10 hours for the loader) and was just recently done. I also pivot through all the joints to make sure everything is greased well. The loader joints are as tight as new. The hoses and tires look new with no cracking or tire rot. We use synthetic oil only on our nicer equipment. There are absolutely zero leaks anywhere.
The tractor is loaded and has the more expensive PowrReverser Plus transmission (32F/16R) that has a button to push to increase/decrease a gear. It is 4WD (MFWD) with auto function, so it can be driven in 4WD safely on pavement. It also has the more expensive heavy-duty H310 loader. It lifts approximately 5000 pounds! The bucket has also been upgraded to the “high volume” one. Other upgrades include triple hydraulic remotes (SVCs). It has rear fender extensions with the integrated up/down 3-pt control from the rear. It has the 540e option if you want to pull a smaller 12’ or 15’ shredder and save fuel. I think it will go well with a 20’ shredder with just the regular 540 even in high grass. It has an original JD grille guard and JD canopy. I just added the canopy a month ago, so it doesn’t have any scratches. There is also a custom-made heavy duty basket mounted to the front of it. This is where I put my chains, because I didn’t want to scratch the floor next to the seat (where most people put them). The basket is very large and can hold much more than the chains. It will even hold an extra battery if needed. Even though it’s hard to find here, the tires are filled with rim guard, so the tractor can go anywhere in the United States. I just put a brand new battery in it also that includes a warranty.
These tractors are very difficult to find. It's a pre-def, but JD even added the fuel rail in 2013. 2012 is the ONLY YEAR that has no DEF or fuel rail that is in the way of the injectors. We have several other 2012 tractors for this reason. I don't think you will be able to find a cleaner single-owner tractor anywhere in the United States with so few hours on it that is also pre-def. It was exceptionally well-maintained and I'm pretty OCD about taking care of our nicer equipment. Although I was looking for a 5100M, I decided to buy a 5115M because it’s the largest engine that JD made in a utility tractor. It also works just like a 5100M when it is on 540e, so it is a lot more pleasant to drive. I also wanted a 5-series, because they are extremely reliable, have been around for a long time, and is JD’s most popular model (so parts will always be available decades later). Unlike the 5Es, the 5Ms are made in America and are much more durable and reliable.
Although they are very hard to find now because of COVID, JD still sells this exact same model but with the complicated Tier 4 DEF emissions. Asking price is much less than the price of a new one
