BRANDON CRAWFORD GAME-USED BASEBALL NLDS CLINCH GAME 5 GIANTS v REDS 10/11/2012

Description

For sale is a truly unique collectable from the 2012 NLDS- Elimination Game 5 - which was won by the Giants against the Reds, 6-4. After dropping games 1 & 2 in SF, the Giants would famously take games 3,4 & 5 on the road against the Reds, and then advance to the NLCS with St Louis and eventually the 2012 World Series championship.
This precise ball was pitched in Game 5 by Reds reliever Sean Marshall to Giants SS Brandon Crawford in the top of the 6th inning, with the Giants leading 6-2.  Marshall would pitch this ball in the dirt, and it would be removed from play and authenticated.  Marshall would strike Crawford out with a different ball, and would pitch two perfect innings in this game.
Authenticated balls such as this are sold mid-game to the public by the home team. The authentication is input by the on-site MLB authenticators, who apply the holograms and enter the details of the play.  Authentications can be verified through the MLB.com site.  This ball carries the hologram EK329530.  I have attached a screen shot for your review of the MLB authentication serial number search result.
Authenticated 2012 NLDS balls are extremely rare from Game 5 in Cincinnati.
This spectacular ball has great coloration and character, and is a true 1-of-a-kind item!  The auction will include the plastic ball cube displayed in the photos, as well as a printout of the MLB authentication page.
