Description
I just purchased this vintage Elegant Depression console set from a local estate here in Central Virginia. The 3-piece set is characteristic of the designs created by the Lotus Glass Co. during the late 1920's / 1930's. The black amethyst / "ebony" glass is finished with an Art Deco inspired gold encrusted etch. The footed bowl measures 9 ¾" across the top rim and 5 ¼" high. The candles measure 8 1/4;" high and 4" square at the base. The pieces are in very good condition with no damage. There is some scattered wear to the hand painted gold, primarily on the border edges. This striking console set would make a nice addition to you vintage Lotus Glass / Elegant Depression / Black Amethyst glass collection.
