MLB Authenticated - Max Schrock 4th CAREER DOUBLE (2 RBI) + Genesis Cabrera 104th Strikeout on 98.3-MPH PITCH!! Shipped USPS Ground Advantage. Buyer pays shipping and handling. On July 25, 2021, the St. Louis Cardinals visited the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park. Johan Oviedo started for the Cardinals, while Sonny Gray went for the Reds.
In the bottom of the seventh, Justin Miller was on the mound. Tyler Naquin led off by striking out. Aristides Aquino walked. Kyle Farmer was HBP. Genesis Cabrera replaced Miller. Mike Freeman came to bat. With the count full, CABRERA HELD THIS BALL IN HIS HAND!! He threw a 98.3 MPH!! FOUR-SEAM FASTBALL THAT FREEMAN SWUNG AT AND MISSED FOR CABRERA’S 104th CAREER STRIKEOUT (by my count)!!
Cabrera got this ball back. Max Schrock walked to the plate. Cabrera threw a 92.1 mph changeup, and SCHROCK SMACKED THIS BALL DOWN THE FIRST BASE LINE, WHERE DYLAN CARLSON GRABBED IT IN THE RF CORNER!! AQUINO AND FARMER BOTH SCORED!! SCHROCK HAD THE FOURTH DOUBLE OF THE SEASON AND THE FOURTH DOUBLE OF HIS CAREER (by my count)!! (The replay shows Carlson throwing this ball to Tommy Edman as the cutoff, so Edman also touched this ball!! Edman threw the ball to someone covering 2B, who was probably Paul DeJong. Unfortunately, the replay did not show the end of the throw.) This ball was then retired. Eugenio Suarez ended the inning by popping out to Paul Goldschmidt. The Reds lost the game 10-6.
This ball is MLB Authenticated for Cabrera’s 98.3 mph pitch and strikeout of Freeman PLUS Schrock’s fourth double of the season (which is also the fourth of his career, by my count) with two RBI and grabbed by Carlson. Please note that this ball does not come with a case. Thank you for purchasing!!
