AJ Pollock walked to the plate. GRAY HELD THIS BALL IN HIS HAND!! He threw an 88.9 mph slider that Pollock swung at and missed. Gray came back with another slider, and POLLOCK SMACKED THIS BALL ALMOST STRAIGHT DOWN, TWO-FEET IN FRONT OF THE PLATE, AND THE BALL CHECKED UP ABOUT SIX FEET FROM HOME WHERE ELIAS DIAZ GRABBED IT, BUT BY THAT TIME, POLLOCK WAS ALMOST TO FIRST. POLLOCK LEGGED OUT A SIX-FOOT SINGLE!! This ball was then retired. Gavin Lux ended the half inning by grounding out to Ryan McMahon. The Dodgers ended up losing the game in extra innings despite hits from Justin Turner, Smith, Taylor, Pollock, and Price. (Cody Bellinger, Max Muncy, McKinstry, Lux, and Matt Beaty went hitless.)
