On August 14, 2020, the Cleveland Indians visited the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park. Aaron Civale started for the Indians, while Iván Nova went for the Tigers.
In the top of the fourth, Francisco Lindor led off. With the count 1-1, NOVA HELD THIS BALL IN HIS HAND!! He threw an 87.2-mph changeup for a ball. (Yes, that means Austin Romine also touched this ball!!) Nova came back with a 94-mph sinker, and LINDOR SMACKED THIS BALL TO VICTOR REYES FOR A LEADOFF SINGLE!! IT WAS LINDOR’S 853rd CAREER HIT (by my count)!! This ball was then retired. Carlos Santana walked. Franmil Reyes singled to JaCoby Jones, scoring Lindor. Tyler Naquin hit into a fielder’s choice to Jeimer Candelario. Domingo Santana hit a home run. Sandy Leon grounded out. Delino DeShields singled. Daniel Norris replaced Nova. Cesar Hernandez singled to Cameron Maybin. Jose Ramirez scored DeShields. Lindor ended the half inning by grounding out to Niko Goodrum. The Indians went on to win the game 10-5.
This ball is MLB Authenticated for Lindor’s single to Reyes off Nova. Please note that this ball does not come with a case. Thank you for purchasing!!
