With the count full, BRACH HELD THIS BALL IN HIS HAND!! He threw a 95.4 mph!! sinker, and TAYLOR BLASTED THIS BALL 105.2 MPH FOR A DOUBLE TO LF, WHERE JESSE WINKER GRABBED IT!! This ball was then retired. Taylor, however, never scored; Lorenzo Cain struck out next to end the game. The Brewers ended up losing 9-4. (Christian Yelich, Kolten Wong, Omar Narvaez, and Travis Shaw all went hitless.)
This ball is MLB Authenticated for Taylor’s double to Winker off Brach. The ball has an impression on it. Looks like “RO” to me. I’m not sure whether Taylor hit this ball so hard that letters from his bat made an impression on the ball or what. But it’s something I’ve never seen before.
