These two Video Tapes are so informative and entertaining.
Volume I
features the Sierra Pacific Lines and Great Outdoor Railways.  Showing one of America's largest and finest scale model railroads, the "Sierra Pacific Lines" of the Pasadena Model Railroad Club.  This beautifully crafted display occupies a 5,000 sq. ft. room.  It takes one train a full hour to complete the circuit.  Appropriate live sound effects and close-up views makes this fantastic.
Equally impressive are the three layouts featured in Great Outdoor Railways.  There are scaled replicas of timbered mountains, desert terrain, bridges, trestles, waterways, narrow gauge lines, and lots of trains.
This video runs 90 Minutes, is in color, with narration.
Volume II
features a great railroad at work, New York Central - An Insider's View, and Vintage Film Series.
This video features the glory days of American railroading when elegant, passenger trains carried commuters and travelers to their destination on time and in comfort.  Long freight trains powered by huge steam locomotives hauled the nation's products.  In those days, everyone knew someone who worked on the Railroads.
This video also features the famous locomotives, trains, and inside workings of railroads, such as the New York Central, New York, New Haven & Hartford, the Pennsylvania Railroad, Southern Pacific, Union Pacific, Santa Fe, D&RGW, and many others in films taken during the 1940s and 1950s.  From the California Zephyr to Water Level Route, the magic of the railroad is on this video.
This video runs 160 Minutes, is in black and white and color, with narration.
This set of tapes would make a wonderful addition to your Railroadiana.  There is so much great pictures and information and these videos are most entertaining.
