VINTAGE 1970s 7UP SODA WATER PSYCHEDELIC SUNRISE ADVERTISING THERMOMETER SIGN

THIS THERMOMETER IS MISSING THE TOP GLASS. Offered here is a vintage, tin advertising thermometer, made in the 1970's. It pictures a sunrise, with psychedelic "pop art" style graphics, similar in style to the art of Peter Max. It reads: "7-UP...The Uncola." In small print, it is marked: "MADE IN U.S.A." It measures 12 inches wide. The tin face has some small scratches and paint nicks. There is a tiny hint of rust near the bottom, around the last letter of "Uncola". (See close-up with pencil point.) If you can find a replacement glass, there are a couple of screws near the bottom, where you can loosen the aluminum sides, and insert a new glass. It seems to work. (I placed it in the freezer and the temperature reading went way down. When I removed it, the reading returned to room temperature.) It may be off by a few degrees. Even without the glass, it still displays nicely. It is guaranteed to be old & original, or your money back.
