VINTAGE DOUBLE SIDED LIGHTED CASINO SIGN
THIS LISTING IS FOR A VINTAGE DOUBLE SIDED LIGHTED SIGN FROM THE OLD LAKE WARAMAUG CASINO IN PRESTON CT. THIS CASINO BURNT DOWN IN THE 80's. LAKE WARAMAUG WAS IN FRIDAY 13th part II. THE BAR SCENE WAS FILMED THERE AS WELL AS OTHER AREAS. DO NOT KNOW IF THIS SIGN WAS RELATED TO THE MOVIE AT ALL
AS FOR THE SIGN IT IS ABOUT 24 INCHES IN DIAMETER FROM SOCKET TO SOCKET. THERE ARE 13 LIGHT SOCKETS THAT ALL WORK (CERAMIC OR PORCELAIN) 9 AROUND THE SIGN, 2 IN FRONT & 2 IN THE BACK. THERE IS NO AGEING OTHER THEN EXPECTED WEAR ON THE FRONT SIDE, SPARATIC PAINT CHIPPING AROUND PEREMETER & THE BACK HAS AGEING & PAINT LOSS BUT YOU CAN READ EVERYTHING FULLY. THE SIGN IN 5 INCHES THICK & IS RIVITED. i BELIEVE IT WAS REWIRED BECAUSE THE CHORD IS A 3 PRONG. THIS IS A HANGING SIGN WITH A CHAIN ATTACHED TO DO SO. THE ARTISTS NAME IS ON THE FRONT BUT I CAN'T FIGURE IT OUT.
I AM NOT A SIGN GUY SO USE THE PICTURES TO DETERMINE FOR YOURSELF. SIGN READS FAT BOY 50 cents PER TURN. LIGHT BULBS NOT INCLUDED. ALL PICTURES WERE TAKEN IN A DARK ROOM AND NO FLASH ON THE CAMERA.
