    Description

    Vintage Depression Era Daisy & Button Canoe/Boat

    This beauty is 11-3/4" in length, 4-1/2" at its widest, and 3-1/2" to the top of front and back of canoe. The original maker/designer of the piece, Bryce Brothers, described the piece as a "berry bowl" and created the form in honor of a famous yacht in the 1880's!!
    L.G. Wright
    revived the design, producing it throughout the depression era (1930's). This boat/canoe form has also been referred to on the internet as an asparagus dish, celery dish, relish, etc., so, clearly, it's use is only limited by one's imagination!
    Condition is very good for its age, with no chips, cracks or scratches noted, except a tiny "flea bite"(?) on the bow of the boat. Please see all the pictures for exact condition.
